The Dalai Lama Likes Fart Jokes

I heard this story in an interview last week. The Dalai Lama, one of the world's most spiritually significant people, giggles like a schoolkid at a good fart joke. How unexpected is that?

I can't get the thought of it out of my mind. I love it. And it gets me to thinking...if he doesn't take himself too seriously, I don't think we should either.

Do you? 😆

Stephen

PS Where else but the HeRO Newsletter can you go from "Consciousness might be fundamental" to the Dalai Lama's fart jokes in just 3 days? 🤭

Why not share this one with a friend and make them smile.

A walk without headphones. A slow coffee with a friend. Lying on the floor, letting your nervous system settle (a personal favourite). These moments won’t show up on your KPI dashboard. And they have no value on a to-do list. But they slow your life down enough that you can notice it. Which is essential. Because you can't be happy in the future. You can only be happy now. Stephen

You can tick off 50 tasks and still be no closer to peace, fulfilment, or a sense of self. Some days, real progress is putting your phone down and being truly present for lunch. Surely we can do that, right? Stephen

If I wanted someone to like me I would ask them to do me a favour. Just something small. Nothing dramatic. But, if they do that, their brain says, "I am helping this person, I must like them." And if they won't even do the slightest thing for you, you don't want anything to do with them anyways. Have a great week, Stephen
