Don't get worried. Not that kind of addict. I am completely and totally addicted to self-improvement podcasts (and books). If I'm honest I've been like that most of my life. Back in my twenties I remember consuming The Road Less Travelled and Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance in a particularly deep week. BTW I still read Zen ... every couple of years. Would recommend. These days every drive I take is to the sound of Alex Hormozi or Steven Bartlett or my current personal favourite Modern Wisdom. I quote Bro Science (the best science) advice from Dr Mike Israetel or Dr Andrew Huberman without realising that not everyone is fascinated by the benefits of creatine, the latest sleep science or neuroscience concepts like "lymbic friction". You could argue that this is unhealthy. I mean, maybe I should get an actual hobby or listen to something from a different genre from time to time? Well I do, sometimes. I always read some non-fiction before going to sleep, because Huberman recommends it. Wait ... did I just turn reading a novel into a productivity hack...? Moving on. As you can probably tell, I genuinely love all of this stuff. I love learning it. I love testing it. I love teaching it to other people -- which is often the best way to learn. And so, as well as my experience and training as a coach, my clients get the benefits of hundreds of hours of "research" that I do every year. Just in the last week, I've helped a client with some mindset tools from a bodybuilder, another client with a habit technique from a James Clear interview and another with some tips on Zone 2 training from an endurance coach. And every Friday, I teach some of these things to all of the people in my HeRO program (new payment plans now available). In other words, I'm a personal improvement junkie so you don't have to be.
